What to eat to help me feel....

Had a great session with a client this week talking about how to re-frame the way we think about foods. We came up with some simple prompts that I reckon we could all use a reminder about:

1. To feel calm and grounded - root vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes, parsnips, turnips, swedes, beetroot, radishes.

2. To feel energetic and enthusiastic - leafy and flowering vegetables such as spinach, chard, lettuces, broccoli, zucchini. Also fruits - whatever is in season for you.

3. To feel clear-headed - cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, kale, bok choy, cauliflower plus the onion and garlic families.

So you can make your dinner and pack your lunch for the next day depending on what your tasks are going to be, what kind of people you are likely to be around and how you want to feel.

Root vegetables - help you feel calm and grounded.
