Homeopathy student clinic is open - guinea pigs required

Hi everyone,

I’m at the stage of homeopathy study where I’m starting to practice with real people yay! It is a fully supervised clinic meaning my supervisor will be in the room with us during the consultations, albeit online.

So….once again I’m in need of some guinea pigs – 20 in fact - who are willing to come and have their case taken in a homeopathic way.  What does this entail?Thank you for asking!  Here’s how it works:

• We will schedule an initial consult (90mins) and a follow-up (60mins) for about 3-4 weeks later.  Further appointments may or may not be needed and we will assess this as we go.

• Appointments can be made on weekdays or Saturday and will simply depend on getting all three diaries to synchronise (yours, mine and the supervisor’s).

• As a student I prefer to have the appointments face to face, especially the initial consult.  However, online consults are available if there are time restrictions, travel issues or you are unwell.

• The initial consult is $70 and follow-ups are $50 – this cost goes towards paying my supervisor.  Remedies are extra – anywhere from $10 - $22 depending on where we need to get them from.

• When you book in, I will email a new client form to complete with some basic information. 

• At the appointment I will ask you for more information about the issue you want to work with as well as your general health.  We do ask a few weird questions in homeopathy so be prepared for that!  My supervisor will be listening in and giving me any help required.

• After you leave the appointment, I will spend some time analysing your case using homeopathic philosophy and come up the remedy I feel best fits.  I will then discuss this with my supervisor.  When we’re both happy with the prescription I will contact you and we’ll find the best way for you to receive the remedy – it might come from me, my supervisor or the homeopathic pharmacy.  I will give you precise instructions on how and when to take the remedy.

• The time between your initial consult and you receiving the remedy may take up to a week.

• We will have a follow-up appointment after 3-4 weeks (usually) so you can give feedback on how things are going.  My supervisor will also be present for this.  Depending on your progress, you might receive no further remedy, the same remedy or a different remedy and we can discuss when another follow-up appointment is needed if any. 

What sort of health issues can homeopathy help with?

Pretty much anything!  It could be a physical issue like digestive problems, skin issues, hormonal issues or pain.  It could also be a mental or emotional issue such as anxiety, learning difficulties, anger problems or addiction and really anything else in between.  It’s ok if you are already using other modalities to treat the issue e.g. pharmaceuticals, herbs, supplements.  However, it’s not ideal if you are in the midst of changing these and trying new ones as this could make it difficult to ascertain if it’s the homeopathy helping or the herbs helping etc.

Who is my supervisor?

I’m very lucky to have Bronwyn Marks as my supervisor.  She is a local homeopath with over 30yrs experience with a wide range of issues so you are in very safe hands.  She works full time as a homeopath in Goodwood so we may need to book appointments a few weeks ahead of time to reserve spots.
