Turmeric & Golden Milk
1/4 cup organic ground turmeric
1/2 cup filtered water (plus more for adding as it's cooking)
Place both in a small saucepan on medium heat.
Bring to a simmer and keep cooking and stirring for 7-9 minutes.
Add more water as it's cooking if the paste starts to dry out.
Store in fridge for up to 3 weeks.
Use for golden milk, curries, soups, smoothies, marinades, sauces and anything else you can think of!
1/2 - 1 teaspoon turmeric paste
1 cup milk of your choice
A few drops sesame oil or another oil of your choice
1/2 - 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
Heat milk and turmeric paste together gently (do not boil especially if using non-dairy milk as it will separate).
Pour into mug and add oil and honey/maple syrup.
What can this help with?
Taking 1-2 teaspoons turmeric paste per day may help with inflammation such as joint pain, gut inflammation, liver congestion, soft tissue injury recovery, nerve inflammation like sciatic and sinus congestion.
