Now I have to admit I haven't done the work for today's email. The recipe below was found by a client - we were looking for a bliss ball recipe with protein and flaxseed meal for omega-3 fatty acids and she's come up with the goods!
This recipe uses hemp protein powder which I love but you can substitute another protein powder that you have in the pantry. The quantities seemed quite small so I made a double batch and still only got 10 small-medium bliss balls so you could make even more and freeze the extra.
It amazed me how well the mixture stuck together with the only wet ingredient being a little bit of maple syrup. There's no coconut oil which I was pleased about as I find this too heavy for me if I have too much of it. I would like to try making them again with some dried fruit for added carbohydrate - maybe dates or dried apricots would be nice. Most importantly, they taste good!
