Hi everyone,
"Can you do Kinesiology with kids?" is a common question from clients and the answer is a resounding YES! Working with kids is fantastic fun, sometimes hard work and always rewarding. Kinesiology is safe and effective for children of all ages from newborns right the way through.
"What sorts of things can you work with?" is usually the next question and the answer is a huge range of things - because we are working with the energy systems of the body (meridians) and if they are blocked or scrambled they affect everything. Here are the most common reasons parents bring their children for kinesiology:
digestive issues
learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia, dyscalcula
sleep
food sensitivities
coordination/clumsiness
poor immune system e.g. always catching colds or tummy bugs
neurological issues e.g. ADD, ADHD, ASD, Auditory processing, Sensory integration
emotional regulation
"How can kinesiology work with such a range of issues?" The meridians all link with different organs (e.g. stomach), hormone glands, muscles, emotions and even vertebrae. Coupled with this, the different acupressure points* link with different parts of the brain. So when we put it all together we can work with all the different body systems, emotions and brain integration pathways.
If you have any questions about how Kinesiology might help your child please get in touch via phone or email, I'm always happy to have a chat.
Happy being with your child,
Carla :)
*In Kinesiology we only use touch or a gentle activator for acupressure points, no needles.
