Feeling stiff or sluggish?

Hi everyone,
As the weather gets cooler (we lit our first fire last night!) it's easy to start to feel a bit more stiff or sluggish so it's a good time to think about how we are going to keep our movement practices going. If you struggle with the cooler weather have a think about "What do I need to make my movement practices easier in the cold?". For example you might need to:
Buy a warmer jacket, get a new hat or wear leggings under your trackies.
Reschedule your morning walk to a lunchtime walk which means starting work earlier so you can take a longer lunch break.
Get a friend onboard so you are accountable to someone else.
Make sure the room at home where you do yoga is nice and warm e.g. switch the heater on 20mins before you start.
Get a training program written for you by a PT or exercise physiologist and have regular reviews to keep you on track.
Set an achievable goal so that you're working towards something
Have an indoor exercise fallback if the weather is just too wet/cold/windy for you when you usually exercise
Everybody is different so it's finding the right approach for you and plan for it now!
To help get you moving here's a super quick exercise that will get the lymphatic system pumping in just 1 min - great to do first thing in the morning or during the day if you've been sitting for a while.
Happy lymph pumping!
Carla :)
