No more diets

Hi everyone,

I have a real treat for you today.  For those of you who have known me since I worked at Health Align in Fullarton, you will remember Tansy Boggon.  Since Health Align, Tansy has lived and worked in Brisbane, Singapore and is now in my home city of Christchurch, New Zealand!

Tansy has been working hard throughout this time studying Nutrition with Deakin University and writing a book, Joyful Eating: How to Break Free of Diets and Make Peace with Your Body. In this book, she goes beyond nutrition to explore the common physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blocks that can erode trust in our bodies and ourselves around food. She helps us form a bridge between what we hear and read about nutrition from a scientific point of view (or sometimes very unscientific point of view!) and the ability to tune into our bodies innate wisdom of how to nourish ourselves.  Tansy uses real life examples to illustrate each point and gives tools and techniques to practice so you can take action and start to investigate your relationship with food straight away.

Tansy's ultimate aim?  To help us form a more intuitive and joyful relationship with food and our body.  Tansy gave me a sneak peek of the book when she was still editing it, and I believe it would be useful for anyone ready to leave dieting and restrictive lifestyle changes in the past.

"No way, I can't not be on a diet, left to my own devices I'll eat my way to obesity very easily thank you very much!"

If that thought popped into your mind then you really really need to read this book! "Tansy Boggon believes eating intuitively and savouring every joyful moment can help us to nourish and nurture our body and mind.”—Metropol Magazine, New Zealand. Sounds good to me. So how do I get my hands on this awesome book I hear you ask? Option 1:  Buy a copy now You can purchase a book through the link on Tansy's website www.joyfuleatingnutrition.com/book Option 2:  Join Tansy at the book launch Alternatively, join her at the book launch event here in Adelaide on Saturday 31st of August http://joyfuleatingadelaidelaunch.eventbrite.co.nz For the same price as the book and postage, you can receive a copy of the book, have it personally signed and learn about Tansy’s journey writing the book, while enjoying good company and delicious food. I'm gutted that I’ll be away that weekend, but if I weren’t, I wouldn’t miss it.

Happy Joyful Eating everyone,

Carla :)
