Hi everyone,

Ongoing pain can be very challenging to work with and very challenging to live with.  There are many different types of pain and different approaches to working with it.  If you have musculoskeletal or neural pain, here is a great resource I've found..  It's a library of videos from zhealtheducation with specific and simple exercises to do for various pain issues.  They are all based on addressing the nervous system aspects of pain, or as they call it, a brain-based approach to pain.   Here's an example of a technique for neck and shoulder pain that I've found really helpful - it takes you to their website blog:

And here is a link to the library of videos on YouTube:

It's a helpful resource for both practitioners and clients and the great thing with these exercises is you're going to know fairly quickly if they are working for you.  Because they are working with the nervous system you can feel after doing them once or twice (often immediately) if they are helping the pain.

Of course, always speak with your healthcare practitioner about whether the exercise you are looking at will be suitable for you or not.  And if anything exacerbates your pain, stop immediately, that is not the idea with these techniques.

Happy pain relieving!

Carla :)
