Canine Kinesiology

Hi everyone,

Here we are in Autumn already, which makes my brain spin! I would like to introduce a new member of our family - Gypsy. She is a beautiful 8yr old Cairn Terrier who needed a new home and she's definitely found one. She is loving, playful, enjoys a walk on the beach and will do most things for a treat.

Gypsy has introduced me to the crazy world of dog food - you can imagine my horror reading the ingredients of many brands of dog food. Incase anyone's interested we've transitioned her to Meals for Mutts dry dog food and there are a couple of other decent brands - Taste of the Wild and Lifewise. For wet food there are two NZ brands that have been recommended but we haven't tried them yet - Ziwipeak and K9Naturals. I've linked these all to the company websites but most of them are available at the large retailers like pet post, pet circle, pet barn and petstock. There is also a lot of information that I am yet to plow through in regards to raw food for dogs - but there's a lot more to it than just giving them raw meat so I will keep you posted once I've done more research on that :) Gypsy was a tad on the chunky side but she's doing well with more walking and we can now see the beginnings of a waist!

Obviously (or maybe not) we can do Kinesiology with animals as they also have meridian pathways. Gypsy seems very happy to receive some Kinesiology so I will be using her as a guinea pig (although being a terrier she may like guinea pigs a little too much!) and doing some research into how I might use Kinesiology to help her and other dogs...there is always more to learn!

In the meantime we are enjoying lots of cuddles, walks and all round cuteness.

Happy being with your pet,

Carla :)
