Today's email is about a book I read (well listened to) about dyslexia. It's called "The Gift of Dyslexia" by Ronald Davis. It's a fascinating insight into dyslexia as the author had dyslexia himself. As an adult and an engineer he managed to work out what was happening in his brain to allow the dyslexia to manifest. He also mapped out a way of correcting the unhelpful parts of dyslexia and was able to realise the gift that people with dyslexia have.
If you or anyone close to you has dyslexia I would highly recommend reading the book or listening to the audiobook to help your understanding of what is going on in the brain with dyslexia. The gift or upside that Ronald describes is remarkable - an ability to "look" at a stationary object from all angles using only the mind's eye.
