I'm usually a nice person.

I'm the one in our house who will happily catch the spiders and take them outside into the garden to be resettled. I never use fly spray, just try and guide them out the door. However, when it comes to mosquitoes, a slightly more vicious side of me comes out and kills with glee! Especially if they have kept me awake buzzing round the bedroom...beware anything that keeps Carla from her sleep!

Now we don't get masses of mossies at our house but we get enough that there was a time when there seemed to be just one in the house every evening - and it would surely find it's way to the bedroom so we'd spend 20 minutes playing find the mosquito each night or morning...ahhhhh!

So, I decided to research what essential oils are the best for repelling mosquitoes thinking I would make up a blend of oils, buy a diffuser and use it the bedroom. So I came up with a long list of recommended oils and was thinking "this will be expensive!" and then I found a company that already does just what we needed. Good Riddance Mossie & Midgie Essential Oil Blend - done! I love it when someone else has already done the hard work for me!

I was still a bit skeptical - will a natural essential oil blend actually work?

Answer = YES!

I'm not often surprised at how well natural products work but this really blew me away. We've now been using the Good Riddance Essential Oil Blend in the diffuser in the bedroom since November 2017 plus the Reed Diffusers in each bathroom. Guess how many mosquitoes we've had in the house....2! Just 2 in over 6 weeks versus nearly one every day. Absolutely amazing.

They also make a lotion which I haven't tried yet but will definitely be buying to use on our next camping trip!
